After Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has reportedly tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The director-producer is currently in self-quarantine. Alia Bhatt, who was shooting with Bhansali for their upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi, has quarantined herself since both Ranbir and Bhansali have tested positive, a source confirmed to the Indian Express. This has brought the shooting of Gangubai Kathiawadi to a halt. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
“SLB has tested positive for Covid-19, and he is under self quarantine, Alia too has quarantined herself since SLB and Ranbir both have tested positive. Everybody who has come in contact with Sanjay have taken the test,” the source said.
The source also added that the director’s mother, Leela Bhansali is doing fine. They said, “After Sanjay tested positive, the first thing he did was to get his mother tested too, she has tested negative for the virus and is doing fine but she has also quarantined herself as a precautionary measure.”
Meanwhile, Alia’s beau Ranbir has also tested positive for COVID-19, his mother Neetu Kapoor confirmed via an Instagram post on Friday. She wrote, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well.”
She also stated that Ranbir has been in home quarantine, as per BMC rules, she wrote, “He is in self quarantine at home and following all precautions.”
