'Baseless': Rashmi Gautam Denies Rumours Of Being Approached For Kurchi Madathapetti Song

Rashmi Gautam, renowned for her anchoring prowess in Telugu television, has also established herself as an accomplished actress through notable films such as Prasthanam and Bomma Blockbuster. Recently, viral reports suggested that Rashmi was initially slated to feature in the song Kurchi Madathapetti from the film Guntur Kaaram instead of actress Poorna. However, Rashmi refuted these claims in a Twitter post, denouncing the rumours as baseless and emphasising that she was never approached for the role. She commended Poorna for her outstanding performance in the song and cautioned against the proliferation of such false news that could potentially tarnish her reputation.

Poorna’s remarkable dance performance in the song Kurchi Madathapetti has garnered widespread acclaim, propelling the song to the #2 spot on the trending charts of YouTube. Sung by Sahithi Chaganti and Sri Krishna, with lyrics penned by Saraswathi Puthra Ramajogayaa Sastry, the song features music composed by Thaman S.

Guntur Kaaram, headlined by Mahesh Babu and helmed by Trivikram Srinivas, premiered in theatres on January 12. Alongside Rashmi, the film stars Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary and others. Despite a solid buzz surrounding its release, Guntur Kaaram failed to meet box office expectations, earning a reported Rs 179.55 crore globally. Critics attribute its underperformance to a lack of audience appeal and tough competition from Prasanth Varma’s HanuMan.
