Bhumi Pednekar arrived in Kolkata on September 30 to attend the ICC Annual Session and AGM 2024. Videos of her from the event have now surfaced on social media. In one of them, Bhumi can be seen making her way through the crowd while also obliging fans’ requests for selfies. In proof of her humble demeanour, she made sure to greet, smile and interact with her fans. For the event, Bhumi Pednekar exuded traditional charm in a white Anarkali suit, elevated with floral motifs and golden detailing.
Mid-parted open tresses and minimal jewellery added the right amount of glam to the outfit. The actress sealed the look with radiant makeup and pointed heels.
In terms of work, Bhumi Pednekar recently finished filming for her highly anticipated web series Daldal. Sharing her experience while filming the series, she, in an Instagram Stories explained that it was one of her most challenging roles to date. “Hands down one of my most complex characters. Am Nervous! Had the opportunity to work with such sublime actors and creators on the show. We braved the Mumbai monsoon, shot in the toughest conditions,” wrote Bhumi. Despite the obstacles they all faced, the team showcased resilience. “Our spirits could never be dampened,” the actress added.
Helmed by Amrit Raj Singh, Daldal will see Bhumi Pednekar playing the role of a cop. Divulging details on her role, the actress told news agency ANI in an interview, “Rita is a super achiever, a glass-ceiling breaker, a rewriter of rules in a man’s world. She is ambitious, ferociously passionate about her job and leads from the front. These are the kinds of women I idolise.”
Amazon Prime had earlier shared a glimpse of the project on Instagram with a caption reading, “Haunted by the guilt of her past and dealing with the demons of her present, a newly-appointed DCP Rita Ferreira, must embark on an investigation of a series of murders that puts her on a collision course with a cold-blooded serial killer.”
Bhumi Pednekar’s last film was Bhakshak, currently available for streaming on Netflix.
