Chris Pratt recently opened up about how Millie Bobby Brown’s husband, Jake Bongiovi, frequently visited the set of their upcoming film, The Electric State. During a panel at New York Comic Con on October 17, Pratt and Brown took a moment to talk about their experiences working together. Pratt, 45, had nothing but praise for Brown’s character, highlighting her kindness. He said, “She has such a huge heart, such a love for animals, and so much love for her now-husband, Jake, who was on set every day.” He went on to describe Brown and Bongiovi as “totally awesome and normal people who live extraordinary lives.”
Pratt also shared how quickly the two of them became friends while working on the movie, adding that he saw similarities between their personalities. “I could relate to her in so many ways. We became close pretty quickly, and you won’t be able to get rid of me now. Sorry,” he teased. Brown replied, “I’m glad to have you as a friend,” reports People.

Brown and Bongiovi, who first sparked dating rumours in 2021, reportedly exchanged vows earlier this year in May. A few months later, they celebrated with a lavish ceremony in Italy. Brown shared the news of their marriage through a fun Instagram post, where she was seen wearing shorts with the word “wifey” on them, along with a cap that said “Wife of the Party.”

According to People, The Electric State is set in a 1990s-inspired, futuristic world where robots once peacefully coexisted with humans but now live in exile after a failed uprising. Brown plays Michelle, an orphaned teenager, who takes on an adventure after encountering a robot named Cosmo that seems connected to her brother, who was believed to be dead. Along the way, she teams up with Pratt’s character, Keats and his robot companion Herman, voiced by Anthony Mackie.
The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, known for their work on Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. The cast includes notable names like Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci, and Woody Norman, with voice performances from Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk.
The Electric State is set to premiere on Netflix on March 14, 2025.
