Father-to-be Ranveer Singh kicked off Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding sangeet with his energetic dance performance on Friday evening. Ranveer, who was accompanied by his actress-wife Deepika Padukone to the function, danced to Salman Khan’s popular song ‘Ishq Di Galli Vich’ from David Dhawan’s film ‘No Entry’.

In a video, shared by Bollywood Hungama, Ranveer can be seen flaunting his scintillating dance moves to the peppy number as the crowd roots for him. He looked dashing in a shimmery outfit and opted for a pair of tinted sunglasses.

A while back, Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her first baby with Ranveer Singh, shared a series of photos of her look for the function. In one of the pics, the actress was seen cradling her baby bump as she posed for camera in a stunning purple-coloured saree.

Sharing the pics, Deepika wrote, “Just… coz it’s a Friday night and (a baby angel emoji) wants to party!!!” She also tagged Ranveer in the caption. The ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ star was quick to react to the pics. “Hayyyye! My beautiful birthday gift! I love you,” Ranveer commented.

Meanwhile, Deepika has been receiving love and appreciation for her incredible performance in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. Recently, her co-star Saswata Chatterjee recalled shooting Kalki 2898 AD climax with the actress when Ranveer was also on the sets.

“Deepika is just ever-smiling,” Saswata told us. He continued, “There is a scene in the film where I drag her by the hair. It was part of the last leg of the shoot and was shot in Mumbai because Deepika was pregnant by then. Ranveer came on set wearing an ensemble that was orange from top to bottom – tee, pants and shoes! He radiates such an infectious positive energy – he just can’t stand in one place! There was a lot of physical tussle in the scene, so I told Ranveer, ‘Don’t worry, for more physically challenging scenes, there’s a body double.’ He was so polite and humble. He smiled and said, ‘I know, Dada.’”
