Deepika Singh, renowned for her role as Sandhya Rathi in the hit show Diya Aur Baati Hum, is back to television with her new show Mangal Lakshmi. She has been entertaining audiences with her remarkable portrayal. Recently, Deepika sat down for a quick chat about physical and mental well-being, sharing how yoga has transformed her life. This revelation comes especially fitting on International Day of Yoga.
During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Deepika revealed, “Yoga has added a lot of mental peace and balance in me other than helping me stay fit, it has also added a lot of flexibility which I as a dancer need.”
She further elaborated on her yoga journey, describing it as a natural process. The actress expressed her love for exploring different forms of yoga. She emphasised that yoga was not only a personal choice but also a recommendation from her doctors, which perfectly aligned with her lifestyle. She shared that yoga provides mental peace, improves flexibility, helps with various body ailments, and most importantly, keeps her fit in a healthy way.
Deepika also conveyed a message to all her fans on the International Day of Yoga. She said, “Stay fit stay blessed and remember your body is your temple…health comes first and all the rest follows…so take care of your mental and physical well-being.”
Recently, Deepika Singh suffered a back injury while filming when a large plywood board fell on her back. Days before this incident, Deepika Singh developed a clot in her eye. She was rushed to the hospital.
Deepika Singh started her television journey in 2011 with Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum. She played the role of Sandhya Rathi/Kothari, an IPS officer on the show which ran for 5 years. Later, she starred in a web series The Real Soulmate, and a supernatural show Kavach…Mahashivratri on Colors TV. Currently, she plays the role of Mangal Srivastav Saxena in the Colors TV show Mangal Lakshmi, where she aims to find a husband for her sister, Lakshmi.
