When it comes to Doja Cat’s music, fans are pretty aware of its explicit content. From lyrics about love and sex to the quirky sound and revealing outfits, the rapper-singer’s songs have it all! However, the 28-year-old is also careful of the fact that her music is not suitable for children, and her latest X post echoes the same. Doja Cat took to her social media handle and spoke about the explicit content of her music, emphasising that it is not meant for minors. Seemingly upset with some recent events, she refrained from revealing the reason behind the tweets.
“idk what you think this is, but i don’t make music for children so leave your kids at home,” she wrote. In the following tweets, Doja explained the kind of explicitness in her songs, asking why parents bring their little ones to the show.

In reaction to the tweets, her fans also shared various comments with many agreeing. One wrote, “parental advisory content sticker on your albums for a reason,” while another commented, “well there’s a parental badge on your albums… it should tell something to them.”
“It’s not celebrities’ job to monitor what your kids are consuming. That’s YOUR job as a parent,” another fan wrote.
Some even argued against her statements and highlighted that most of Doja’s listeners are from the younger generation. “Music is a universal language that speaks to all ages. It’s important to create art that resonates with diverse audiences,” one wrote.
Doja Cat’s back-to-back weekend performances
Notably, the tweets come at a time when Doja Cat has been gearing up for her Scarlet Tour overseas. She kicked off the Scarlet Tour in 2023, her first in four years. It commenced on October 31 during Halloween in San Francisco. She later performed across the US in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, New York City, Boston, and Detroit before wrapping up in Chicago in December.
After Coachella 2022, she made a comeback to music on Sunday, April 14, and then again on April 21. During this time, she once again stood out with her bold performances and revealing outfits.
In the coming days, the singer is expected to lead several radio concerts, including Hot 97’s Summer Jam, before heading to Europe for other shows and festival performances in England, Amsterdam, Italy, and others.
Doja will now continue throughout the UK in July.
