The 2013-released film Fukrey got quite a lot of things right- impressive cast, perfect comic timing, interesting story-line and an extended character in the face of capital city Delhi. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who directed the prequel, is now back with its sequel titled Fukrey Returns.
As the title suggests, the cast members including Pulkit Samrat, Varn Sharma, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh and Richa Chadha, are expected to reprise their roles and carry forward the hilariously entertaining franchise.
As seen in the trailer, the story picks up a year later from where they left off and the equation still hasn’t changed between the ‘Fukras’. The four of them are still enjoying the spoils of the war they raged against Bholi Punjaban in the first half until of course, the villainous woman makes a comeback from the prison. Hell-bent on a seeking revenge, the mastermind devises a plan to take them on a deadly ride.
Given that Fukrey was a stand-alone hit on the day of its release, it’ll be interesting to see what the second part has in store for the viewers. Will the madcap gang take you on a laughter ride? Will the film be a laugh riot? Will the entertaining camaraderie between actors bowl you over? Kriti Tulsiani from News18.com is inside the theater to find out.
