Actor Sunny Deol celebrates his 68th birthday today, October 19. He has entertained the audience with his amazing acting prowess in several films including Ghayal, Border, etc. The 68-year-old actor has also made headlines for his personal life, especially his marriage with Pooja Deol for nearly 40 years now. According to the reports, Sunny had tied the knot with Pooja around the release of his debut film Betaab (1983). In this film, he was paired opposite actress Amrita Singh. However, he kept his marriage a secret for many years as per several media reports on the internet. Later that year, a magazine reportedly leaked photos of his secret wedding with Pooja Deol. However, as per the reports, the Betaab actor had denied being married to anyone at the time.
Sunny’s wife Pooja’s real name is Lynda Deol and according to the reports, she lived in London for a long time even after the wedding. She was born on September 21, 1957 in London. Pooja’s father Krishan Dev Mahal is of Indian origin and her mother, June Sarah Mahal, belongs to the British Royal family. After tying the knot with Sunny, Lynda’s name changed to Pooja. Sunny and Pooja embraced parenthood in 1990 with their first child Karan Deol and then for the second time with their son Rajveer Deol.
On the work front, Pooja is a writer and has penned the story of Sunny Deol’s film Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. This film received tepid reviews from the critics and the audience and flopped miserably at the box office. Meanwhile, Sunny last acted in the film Gadar 2 directed by Anil Sharma.
