Roads are getting tougher and tougher for Kapil Sharma each passing day since his infamous mid-air brawl with co-star Sunil Grover. After facing sudden exit by two of his popular actors, Grover and Ali Asgar, Kapil is now facing an ultimatum by the channel.
According to a source close to Times of India, Sony channel has given a month's ultimatum to The Kapil Sharma Show to do something about the dwindling TRPs in order to get a renewal contract. Earlier, the channel was pretty happy with the show and offered a whopping renewal deal of Rs 106 crore. However, after Grover, Chandan Prabhakar and Asgar left the show and because of the negative publicity around Kapil's behaviour, the ratings of the show has fallen drastically.
Kapil tried to fill the gap by roping in veteran comedian Raju Srivastava but for no good use. According to the source, "The channel has given Kapil Sharma one month time to put up everything together, if he manages to do so the channel will think about continuing with the show.(sic.)"
Well, looks like this ego fight with Sunil Grover has cost Kapil Sharma his reputation as well as his tide-high career.
