Shabana Azmi took a trip down memory lane and shared a priceless gem on social media. The veteran actress has made fans of classic Bollywood nostalgic with an iconic throwback picture. She mined into her vault and picked a rare photograph featuring stars of the yesteryear. Hema Malini, Zeenat Aman, Rakhee Gulzar, late actors Sanjeev Kumar and Amjad Khan, all share one frame in the black-and-white picture.
Shabana said she wished she knew the two Soviets who also featured in the epic photo. The image has the ladies standing behind the men, who are sitting on the floor posing for the camera. While sharing the unseen picture, Shabana wrote, “Such an iconic photo!”

The post brought back several memories from the ’70s era of Bollywood. Divya Dutta, Manish Malhotra, Sandhya Mridul and Aditi Rao Hydari were among many others who commented on the photo.
Both Amjad and Sanjeev died quite young, at the age of 51 and 47, respectively. Sanjeev, Amjad and Hema worked together in the all time classic Sholay. Shabana and Hema have worked together in films like Swami, Ram Tera Desh and Suraag. Zeenat and Shabana shared screen space in Ashanti.
Meanwhile, Shabana recently wrapped up shooting for Shekhar Kapur’s forthcoming Hollywood venture, What’s Love Got to Do With It. Set in the UK and South Asia, the project is touted to be a cross-cultural romantic comedy around love and marriage. Emma Thompson, Lily James, Shazad Latif, Sajal Ali, Rob Brydon and Asim Chaudhry will be a part of the project to play important roles. Shabana is also awaiting for the release of queer love story Sheer Qorma.
