How Blake Lively's Ping Pong Table Changed The Dynamic On Deadpool & Wolverine Sets
The trio, Ryan, Lewy and Jackman, thought of the details of the film and sharpened it while "battling each other on a ping-pong table."

Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds has shared some exclusive photos from the sets of his upcoming MCU film. The photos show him playing ping pong with other actors. The images were first released by Vanity Fair magazine after the cast’s interview. In the interview, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and filmmaker Shawn Levy revealed that a ping-pong table sent by Reynolds’s wife and actress, Blake Lively, actually helped bring some R-rated troublemaking to the MCU. The actors also revealed that the third Deadpool film had almost been shelved before Hugh Jackman decided to resurrect his Wolverine character.

Talking about the now viral ping-pong photos from the sets, Shawn Levy told Vanity Fair, “It’s why those ping-pong photos are our personal favourites. For the three of us, those photos are treasures. They captured the spirit of this shoot. It was very hard work, but it was fun every day because we were doing it with buddies."

The trio, Ryan, Lewy and Jackman, also claim that they thought of the details of the film and sharpened it while “battling each other on a ping-pong table," reports Vanity Fair.

Jackman told Vanity Fair that playing ping pong would wake them up and make them feel more alert.

“Speaking of Blake, that’s the real reason these ping-pong photos came about. She and I have a bunch of these prints of actors playing it on their sets. We’ve got Newman and Redford in Durango, Mexico, during the shooting of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. We’ve got Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda, I think in the ’30s. We have Olivia de Havilland playing ping-pong, Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman playing. Joan Crawford. So Blake sent the ping-pong table to Pinewood Studios," added Ryan.

Earlier this month, the makers of Deadpool & Wolverine released a teaser that featured a brief appearance of what fans believe to be Lady Deadpool. This glimpse occurs right after the Merc with a Mouth says, “I’m about to lose everything that I’ve ever cared about."

Ever since the tease, fans have not stopped imagining how cool it would be to have Blake Lively playing Lady Deadpool, given that she is already married to Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds. The film will be released in theatres in just about a month, on July 26 this year.
