Kollywood has crafted a massive, multi-crore promotional strategy for the upcoming film Kanguva, with a series of back-to-back activities planned. Set to release on November 14, the film’s promotion kicked off a full month in advance, dedicating all of October to the campaign. Every day, new content related to the movie is being released. The poster and teaser have already sparked excitement, further raising anticipation for the film.
Kanguva’s lead actors, Suriya and Disha Patani, sport unique makeup looks, while Bobby Deol takes on a distinctive role as the villain. The second song of the movie will be released in the second week of October.
The audio launch for the movie is scheduled for October 20, when songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad will be released. Overall, this event is centred around the official audio release. Directed by Siva, Kanguva is set in a historical and fantasy backdrop. The story revolves around a fierce warrior, portrayed by Suriya, who rises to prominence with his exceptional combat skills and leadership.
The title Kanguva, which roughly translates to “a man with the power of fire." With a staggering budget exceeding Rs 350 crore, Kanguva is Siva’s most expensive project to date, outpacing other blockbuster hits like Pushpa and Singham. Set in a prehistoric era, the film has been shot in seven different countries, showcasing breathtaking landscapes and vibrant settings. To elevate the quality of the film, the filmmakers have enlisted Hollywood experts for key technical roles, ensuring that the action sequences and cinematography are of the highest standard. One of the film’s most thrilling features is its colossal war scene, which includes over 10,000 participants, contributing to its grand scale.
The trailer which was released on August 12 has already captivated viewers with its striking visuals. In just two minutes and thirty-seven seconds, it provides a sneak peek into Kanguva’s life within his tribe, laying the groundwork for an epic narrative. Bobby Deol’s character, Udhiran, appears as a formidable and ruthless antagonist, seemingly fueled by a desire for vengeance. The film is set to explore the intense rivalry between Kanguva and Udhiran, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the ultimate confrontation on the big screen.
Earlier the movie was set to release on October 10, 2024. However, Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan makers announced its release date to be October 10 and Kanguva’s release date was pushed to November 14.
