It’s an exciting day for fans of Biju Menon as the trailer for the highly anticipated film Thundu has finally been unveiled. The release of this fun-filled trailer has heightened the anticipation among fans who are eager to witness the superstar’s magic on the big screen. The trailer introduces Biju Menon as a police officer striving to clear an exam for a promotion, resorting to unconventional means, including using cheat sheets. Towards the end, a humorous twist is added by comparing his antics with those of his school-going son, who employs similar tactics to pass exams.
Directed and written by debutant Riyas Shereef, Thundu is scheduled to hit theatres on February 16. Co-written by Kannappan, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Shine Tom Chacko, Shaju Sreedhar, Unnimaya Prasad, Noushad Ali, and Zhinz Shan. Produced by Ashiq Usman in collaboration with cinematographer-turned-producer Jimshi Khalid under Ashiq Usman Productions, Thundu marks the fifteenth venture for the esteemed production house.
Lead actor Biju Menon had earlier shared the first-look poster on social media, announcing the global release of the comedy entertainer on February 16, 2024. The poster showcased Biju Menon alongside Shine Tom Chacko, Noushad Ali, Shaju Sreedhar, Unnimaya Prasad, and Zhinz Shan against the backdrop of a police bus emitting smoke. Biju Menon, gripping a ballistic shield, hinted at an engaging police narrative, building anticipation for an exhilarating cinematic experience.
On the technical front, Thundu assembles a proficient crew, with Jimshi Khalid serving as the cinematographer and Nabu Usman as the editor. Gopi Sundar is the music composer, and Vinayak Sasikumar pens the lyrics. The late Jolly Bastian and Kalai Kingson choreographed the action sequences, while Ashik S handles art direction, and Mashar Hamsa and Ronex Xavier take charge of costume design and makeup, respectively.
