In Yash Chopra’s Darr, Shah Rukh Khan played a negative role, which was a change from the typical romantic hero roles he played at that time. The dialogue “I love you K-K-K-Kiran” became iconic. But do you know who inspired this dialogue? Well, SRK’s Darr co-star Juhi Chawla has revealed it all.
At an event held by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Juhi Chawla revealed that the iconic dialogue, which made the actor stutter every time he said “Kiran”, was inspired by Yash Chopra’s speech problems. Shah Rukh once revealed that he picked up K-K-K-Kiran from Yash Chopra, who always had a little stutter. He said, ‘I will use it in the film’ and wahan se unhone woh shuru kiya and thank God for that!”
Besides Darr, Juhi Chawla has also shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in numerous other films including Yes Boss, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Duplicate and others. The duo not only have perfect chemistry on screen but are also close friends in real life and are co-owners of the IPL 2024 winning team Kolkata Knight Riders.
After the huge success of Dunki, Jawan and Pathaan in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan is now working on his next film titled King. The film will see the superstar sharing the camera with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. Suhana made her debut with The Archies, which received mixed to negative reviews from the audience, but it will be interesting to see if she can shine with her father in the upcoming film. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film is said to be an action-packed thriller produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders lifted this year’s IPL trophy. Both were very happy and shared photos on social handles. Well, did you know that during the initial time of creating the team, all the meetings were held at Shah Rukh Khan’s house Mannat? But Juhi Chawla did not attend. In a recent conversation, the actress revealed that reason.
Juhi mentioned that Lalit Modi approached her and Shah Rukh to buy a team as he wanted glamorous people as team owners in the IPL. “We didn’t know anything about running a cricket franchise. So I remember going to Shah Rukh’s house for meetings, where (from) putting the jingle together, to thinking of what uniform they’ll have, everything was done i-house,” she said.
