Kevin Spacey Is 'Demanding' $100,000 To Vacant Baltimore Home After Auction
Kevin Spacey lost his Baltimore mansion in an auction after suffering major financial losses.

The ongoing real estate standoff between Kevin Spacey and the Bethesda-based investor doesn’t seem to stop. Weeks after the actor refused to vacate his Baltimore home, having lost it at an auction, Spacey is now reportedly trying to “extort” $100,000 from the buyer. According to a New York Post report, real estate investor Sam Asgari purchased the property from Spacey for around $3.24 million. Despite handing over the entire money, Asgari has accused the actor of trying to “extort” money from him.

“He asked me for $100,000 to leave the property on November 17, and I said no, but he said that was his final offer. He’s saying I’m bullying him to play the sympathy card. He wants to use the negative publicity to paint himself as the victim. Well, I don’t plan to be a victim of his. We’re going to fight, and we’re fighting him legally. If he overstays, I will sue him for every day he’s stayed,” he told the outlet.

Asgari also claimed that the property is already costing $40,000 per month over the homeowners fees, taxes, utility bills and other charges.

On the other hand, The Usual Suspects actor’s camp alleged that he is being “bullied” by Asgari, who is trying to force him out of the house.

“He’s not giving any reason for why he won’t leave, like he’s homeless or something. It’s really odd. On what planet is it OK for you to hold someone’s property and demand crazy money if they want to get it back? It really feels like extortion now, like he’s holding onto the property for ransom,” Asgari’s associate said in defense.

Earlier in August, Asgari claimed that the actor was refusing to leave the property, asking for six more months without paying a penny. It is pertinent to note that the 9,000-square-foot house, once dubbed Baltimore’s “more extraordinary home,” was Kevin Spacey’s primary residence. He purchased it in 2017 for around $5.65 million. Following multiple sexual assault accusations and loss of work, the actor fell behind in payments. In 2022, Spacey was even ordered to pay $31 million to the producers of House of Cards due to allegations of misconduct, NYP reported.
