Actress Payal Rajput, renowned for her role in RX 100, achieved success with her latest film, Mangalavaaram, which premiered in theatres on November 17. Mangalavaaram, already popular on OTT platforms, is now set for a television broadcast. An announcement has been made stating that the movie would be aired on February 11 at 6 pm on Star Maa, a renowned Telugu television channel.
The movie features a talented ensemble cast, including Nandita Shwetha, Divya Pillai, and Ajmal Ameer, among others. Produced by Creative Works and Mudhra Creative Works, Mangalavaaram marks Payal’s second collaboration with director Ajay Bhupathi, whom she commended for his visionary approach. Payal reflects on her persistence in securing another opportunity following the success of RX 100 and appreciates Ajay’s recognition of her potential.
In an interview, Payal praised Ajay’s unique vision, admiring the world he crafted in Mangalavaaram. Discussing her character Shailu and its distinction from previous roles, Payal remarked, “Shailu is not exactly a villainous character. After watching the film, you’ll empathize with Shailu as it involves a multitude of emotions. While I’ve portrayed intense roles in the past, I’ve never played a character like Shailu before. Upon hearing the story, I informed my mother about my collaboration with Ajay Bhupathi once again.”

According to film industry tracker, Mangalavaaram exhibited a robust performance at the box office, accumulating approximately Rs 16.25 crore net in India and Rs 21.35 crore worldwide.
