On September 19, the audio launch of Prabhu Deva’s upcoming film, Petta Rap took place in Chennai. The event was attended by the film’s lead actors Prabhudeva, Vedhika, Sunny Leone and music director D Imman. One of the special guests at the event was Director Perarasu, who expressed regret when he met Sunny Leone. The speech left the audience and the cast laughing. Taking to the stage, Perarasu accepted his lack of Hindi-speaking skills and elaborated on how he regrets not being able to communicate with Sunny Leone in Hindi. He said, “About 2-3 years ago, people were against Hindi imposition. T-shirts with slogans that read ‘I don’t know Hindi’ were trendy. Now, at this juncture, I regret not knowing the language. I wish I knew it so that I could talk a few lines to Sunny Leone. "
His honest and hilarious confession made Prabhu Deva smile. Sunny Leone did not understand the language and looked clueless. Later, she took to the stage and expressed her gratitude to the team of Petta Rap for roping her in for the film. She accepted that and said, “I may not understand the language, but I understand human language, the love, the emotions". She ended her small speech with flying kisses to the audience.
Petta Rap is headlined by Prabhu Deva. The film’s production began last year and was wrapped up a few months back and is gearing up for its release on September 27. The music composition is handled by D Imman. Touted to be an action-comedy, Petta Rap narrates the story of a middle-class man, Bala, who is pursuing to become an action hero in Tamil films, while Janaki, a middle-class lady wants to become a singer.
Prabhu Deva is credited with revolutionising dance in India by designing his own dance styles and incorporating them into films. The multi-talented artist is also known for his exceptional work as a dance master, director and actor in Tamil cinema. Currently, he is busy with promoting his upcoming film, Petta Rap, helmed by SJ Sinu. The title of the film is inspired by the song Petta Rap featured in Prabhu Deva’s Kadhalan. Apart from this, he has films like Jolly O Gymkhana, Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, Musasi and Wolf in the pipeline.
