Ranbir Kapoor Calls Shraddha Kapoor 'Big Commercial Box Office Superstar': 'We Have The Same...' | Viral

Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor worked together in Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. While Ranbir and Shraddha are childhood friends, this film marked their first appearance together on screen. During a promotional event, Rambir lauded Shraddha and called her a commercial superstar. A clip of this interaction has resurfaced amid the success of Shraddha’s Stree 2.

In the now-viral clip, Ranbir Kapoor said, “I have known Shraddha since she was born and I was born since our parents our friendly. We have been friends for a long time. When working with her, I realised we share similar creative energies. We have the same kind of fire and passion to give our best. She’s an actress who is loved by so many people. She’s such a big, if you can say, commercial box office superstar… I hope we do really amazing work in the future.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shraddha Kapoor is currently enjoying the success of Stree 2. Also starring Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi, the film hit theatres on August 15 and impressed audiences. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 sees Rajkummar and Shraddha reprise their roles from the original. The sequel continues the eerie tale in the town of Chanderi, now haunted by a new terror, Sarkata. The townspeople once again turn to Stree for salvation. The film also features several surprise cameos, including Varun Dhawan as Bhediya, who shares a special song with Shraddha Kapoor.

Stree 2 clashed at the box office with Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite this, Stree 2 managed to gather audience’s attention. The film is proving to be a box office juggernaut, showing impressive numbers in its first week of release. The film has earned a staggering Rs 275.35 crore in just seven days. Stree 2 has become the highest opener of 2024 so far, beating films like Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD.

As for Ranbir Kapoor, he is currently shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. While Ranbir will be playing Ram in the film, Sai Pallavi will essay the role of Sita.
