Have you ever thought about what would happen when two of the biggest Marvel stars get together for a special event? On May 23, Hollywood buzzed with excitement as Chris Hemsworth received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, the day wasn’t just about the honour. It was also filled with laughter, thanks to Robert Downey Jr. When it comes to humour, Downey never disappoints. As the ceremony started, Downey, known for his iconic role as Iron Man, took the stage. He came with a list of roasts from their fellow Marvel co-stars, each one trying to describe Hemsworth in three words.

Downey reportedly started with Jeremy Renner’s jab, describing Hemsworth as “absurdly annoyingly amazing.” Next up was Mark Ruffalo, who amusingly called Hemsworth a “friend from work.” This phrase, familiar to Marvel fans, brought smiles and laughter from the crowd.

Scarlett Johansson joined the fun, calling Hemsworth a “sensitive leading lady.” Well, finally it was Chris Evans who said the most memorable line and called Hemsworth the “second-best Chris,” reports People. The friendly banter showed the relationship the Marvel cast shares with each other. Hemsworth and Downey are key figures in the Avengers lineup along with Evans, Johansson, Renner and Ruffalo.

In his speech, after roasting Hemsworth for a good time, Downey also praised him. He called the actor “a bit daunting to describe” and mentioned his striking looks. Downey also said that beyond Hemsworth’s appearance, lies a person with genuine wit and a deep soul. “It’s been my sincere pleasure to know you these many years,” Downey said. “You keep us Hollywood folks on our toes because you’re just a real dude,” he added.

The event was not just a celebration of Hemsworth’s career but also a preview of his upcoming film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Downey expressed his excitement for the movie, predicting it to be “the film of 2024.”

Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky and their three children, India Rose, Sasha and Tristan, were also present there to support him. Hemsworth, in his own speech, took a moment to thank his wife, who has been by his side for over 13 years. He acknowledged her sacrifices and put her acting career on hold to support him. “Nothing that I do, any of these moments, these special occasions and events, none of it is special without you by my side,” Hemsworth said.
