Akshay Kumar and Radhikka Madan’s recent film Sarfira has beee earning good reviews from fans, critics and viewers. The film is witnessing audience love growing by the day. After strong reviews and a positive word of mouth, the film’s box office trajectory has begun to soar high. On day 2, the film witnessed an 80% jump.
While the rains impacted Sarfira’s initial run at the box office, on Saturday the film saw a surge in terms of footfalls. To add to that, the great reviews received by the Akshay Kumar starrer only catapulted the love for Sarfira amongst the audience. According to the production house, collected Rs 2.50 crores on day 1, and on day 2 early estimates suggest that the film drew worth Rs 4.50 crores, taking its total to a Rs 7 crores approximately.
While the film is expected to see an increase in numbers on day 3, the Sunday looks promising for Sarfira. And after the 80 % jump, Sarfira’s flight is now unstoppable.
News18 Showhsha reviewed the film and gave it 4.5 stars. A part of the review read, “Sarfira is a rather beautiful coming together of two schools of cinema – one that makes you whistle and clap and still silently appreciate its nuanced storytelling. Sarfira tells the inspiring story of G.R. Gopinath, the visionary who made flying affordable for the common man in India. The film is directed by the acclaimed Sudha Kongara and is the official adaptation of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, which won five National Awards.
