Showtime Teaser: Emraan Hashmi, Mouni Roy & Others Give A Glimpse Of The Showbiz World, Watch

Karan Johar is all set to reveal what goes on behind the scenes of Bollywood. Disney+ Hotstar has joined forces with KJO’s Dharmatic Entertainment for their first fictional series together – Showtime. Created by Sumit Roy and showrunner Mihir Desai and Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, Showtime will delve into the unseen world that lies behind the camera. It will give audiences a sneak peek into what goes behind the multi-million dollar industry of Bollywood, nepotism and the power struggles at the top. After a long wait, Karan Johar has unveiled the teaser along with the release date.

Taking to his Instagram handle on Friday, Karan Johar shared a clip that featured a bunch of popular faces like Mouni Roy, Emraan Hashmi, Rajeev Khandelwal and others from the tinsel town. The teaser takes us through the glamourous and extravagant sets and the celebrities getting all decked up for the shoot. The screen transitions to black, dramatically unveiling the release date of the same. Karan Johar captioned the post, “IT’S SHOWTIME!#HotstarSpecials #Showtime streaming March 8th only on Disney+ Hotstar!”

Showtime will star Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead. Rajeev Khandelwal and Shriya Saran will also play key roles in the show. Talking about the show, Karan Johar had shared, “Showtime is a series that is very close to my heart, it gives a closer look into the power struggles of the showbiz. The show will ensure that battle lines are drawn and crossed & keeps the camera rolling with the audience clapping. To tell a story so strong and powerful there could not have been a better partner than Disney+ Hotstar. We are extremely excited and eager to bring forth this one for the audience and hope they enjoy the series.”
