Sikandar, by AR Murugadoss, has created a lot of buzz ever since it was announced earlier this year. It will star Salman Khan along with Rashmika Mandanna. The film’s action director Kevin Kumar’s recent post suggests the movie would have some mind-blowing and adventurous sequences. Kevin has also thanked AR Murugadoss for giving him this chance.
Sharing his excitement, Kevin Kumar wrote, “THANK YOU JESUS, “SIKANDAR” my next as action director, thank you A.R.Murugadoss sir for this opportunity for giving me the chance to prove myself in such a MASSive scale… extremely honoured to work with SALMAN KHAN sir, i WILL do my best to make fans go wild in the ACTION SEQUENCES.”
Meanwhile, Salman Khan has begun shooting for Sikandar. Earlier this month, the actor shared a glimpse of himself from the set, which quickly went viral. Along with the picture, he wrote, “Looking forward to #Eid2025 with team #Sikandar #SajidNadiadwala’s #Sikandar. Directed by @a.r.murugadoss Releasing in cinemas EID 2025.”
The shooting for the film started this month itself, which was confirmed by Warda Khan Nadiadwala on Instagram. She shared a picture of herself with the director and Sajid Nadiadwala’s mother, Shaffat Nadiadwala, who was seen holding a clapstick.
According to Mid-day report, filmmaker AR Murugadoss intends to prioritise filming the majority of the action sequences. As per reports, he is working on improving his agility and flexibility. According to a source, “Salman insists on performing his own stunts. He has modified his workout regimen to develop a chiselled physique.”
Sikandar marks AR Murugadoss’ much-awaited return to Hindi film after an eight-year break since Akira (2016). This film also reunites Salman Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who have previously collaborated on blockbusters such as Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Salman Khan was last seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which was directed by Farhad Samji. It also starred Pooja Hegde, Palak Tiwari, Shehnaaz Gill and others.
