Comedian Sunil Pal has made several comments against Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show in the last few days. However, Pal has now attacked Sunil Grover. In a recent interview, the former talked about Gover’s comedy in Kapil’s show and called it “cheap”.
Sunil Pal bashed Sunil Grover for mimicking women and accused him of portraying them as “desperate”. He further questioned Grover for sitting on people’s lap and went on to call it “vulgar”. “Sunil Grover acts like a woman in the show and sits on people’s lap. Ghinn aati hai (It is so disgusting). He wears women’s clothes and say vulgar things. Acha nahi lagta hai (It doesn’t seems good). It looks vulgar and cheap,” he told Telly Talk India.
For the unversed, Sunil Grover recently reunited with Kapil Sharma for Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show. In the show, Grover dresses up as a woman in a saree and is called ‘Dafli’. Previously too, Sunil Grover played female characters like Gutthi or Rinku Devi in Kapil’s shows.
Meanwhile, Sunil Pal also took to his Instagram handle recently to express happiness as Kapil Sharma wrapped up his The Great Indian Kapil Show. In the video that Pal shared, he argued that Kapil is not an “OTT artist” and added that most of his audience watches television instead. “Achha hai aapka show band ho raha hai. You are not an OTT artist. Aap TV ke, ghar ghar ke artist ho,” he said.
Kapil Sharma wrapped up the last episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show earlier this month. However, later, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Kiku Sharda revealed that the wrap-up is only “temporary”. He confirmed that the team will be back with the second season of TGIKS after a short break.
“We have done 13 episodes and the second season will come out soon. We have just wrapped up the first season. It was always meant to be like this. We have already planned the next season and it will come out soon. There won’t be a very huge gap,” he told us.
Kiku further admitted that the show used to run for a longer time on television but added that they switched to digital to try a different format. “On television, it used to be longer but it is about different formats. This is also interesting. There will be a short gap now and the second season will be back soon. It sounds like a wrap because we make it look like it. But it is temporary. We will be functioning soon again,” he added.
