Two women VJs making fun of actor Suriya did not do down well with his fans. Over 200 people gathered outside Sun TV office and protested against the show 'Franka Sollata'.
The protesters demanded an apology from the VJs for making fun of the actor's height. After a half hour protest, police demanded that they leave or face detention. Suriya, too, took to Twitter requesting fans to not protest.
He put out a message on twitter to his fans stating that they should use their time to serve people instead of lowering their stature by responding to comments of people on the actor.
???? #AnbaanaFans— Suriya Sivakumar (@Suriya_offl) January 20, 2018
Two VJs, Niveditha and Sangeetha, had said that if the actor Suriya was to act with Amitabh Bachchan, he may have to use a stool to match the height. They also added how in the film Singam, Suriya had to act with Anushka Shetty who is taller than him. And this didn't go well with even the film fraternity.
Actor Vishal, General Secretary, Nadigvar Sangham also slammed the show. In his tweet, Vishal said: "Funny !! ???? Absolutely not. How unethical in the name of sense of humour. Totally senseless.
