Tabu Opens Up On Her Bond With Ajay Devgn: 'The Ease And Comfort I Have With Him Is Because I've...'

Tabu and Ajay Devgn have come a long way in showbiz with rich content driven and commericial. Their on-screen pairing is really loved by fans and critics alike, and now they are all set to star in a one of a kind romantic entertainer ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’. Now, in a new interview, the actress opened up on her bond with Ajay Devgn, and also revealed how he always wanted to be a filmmaker and not an actor.

Tabu and Ajay have been childhood friends who turned actors. Speaking of their equation in an interview with India Today, the Crew actress shared, “He was like this only. He has not changed a lot except that he got married and he has children now. He was always very passionate about cinema. He wanted to be a director. He never wanted to be an actor. He used to make these short films. So I remember him like that. So I think the ease and the comfort I have with him is because I’ve known him much before we both got into acting. That is the basis of our relationship.”

Opening up on how she met Ajay, she added, “I have known Ajay since we were like 12 or 13. He is my brother’s childhood friend. So we kind of grew up together. I don’t know him through films. I think that’s why the equation is different. I don’t have this equation with most of the male co-stars that I’ve worked with except him. Because I know him from a different time, it’s a different relationship.”

The actor also shared that she respects Ajay a lot. “I think because of his personality, he does not demand you to be somebody else. So that’s a very good quality that he has. In particular, I think, with me, he is completely unconditional. He is completely indulgent and he never stops working with me. Like, I know that many times it happens that whenever I have issues with a producer or a filmmaker or whatever, they will call Ajay and say, ‘You talk to her. She is not shooting or promoting the film.’But the one thing I must acknowledge about him is that he never ever tries to come in the way of my decisions or tries to influence me. He respects my space,”

Tabu and Ajay’s film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which was all set to release on July 5 has now been pushed for a later date.
