Thalapathy Vijay-starrer GOAT finally arrives in theatres today, after months long anticipation and excitement among the fans. The film features a stellar ensemble cast along with some cameos by the biggest names in the country. It also includes former Indian cricketer Subramaniam Badrinath, who has confirmed his appearance in the film through his recent social media post. The ex-international cricketer took to his official X account to share the announcement of his involvement in the film. He tweeted, “Have done my bit for #GOAT my first time being part of a movie, very excited …awaiting reviews and feedback,” sharing a BTS image. It shows Badrinath in the studio, sharing a smile with the makers, as he seemingly prepares to dub his part.

One user wrote, “Super excited for your first movie project that too with our Thalapathy.” A second fan stated, “Congratulations on your debut in the movie! It’s exciting to see your work featured in #GOAT.” A third fan shared, “From fan boy to sharing screen space with him.” If the reports are to be believed, he is being featured as a commentator in the film. Apart from S Badrinath, several big names have made a cameo in the release, which include MS Dhoni, Trisha and Sivakarthikeyan.

GOAT or The Greatest Of All Time is helmed by Venkat Prabu and is dubbed as a science fiction project, released on September 5. The cast includes Thalapathy Vijay, seen in double roles, along with Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila and more. It is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner of AGS Entertainment. For music, the makers roped in composer Yuvan Shankar Raja while the cinematography is done by Siddhartha Nuni and Venkat Raajen is the editor. As per the reports, the film is made under a budget of Rs 300 crore to Rs 400 crore.
