Tom confirmed the news of Spider-Man 4 just days after he teased the script of the new film. During an appearance on the Rich Roll Podcast, the actor opened up about the direction of Spider-Man 4, hinting at a bold new chapter where Peter Parker navigates a world where no one remembers his superhero identity.
During the podcast, Tom also disclosed that he and Zendaya recently read the script together, and their reactions were priceless — both stars were so captivated they could hardly believe it was all set to become a reality. “We have working on it now, we have a creative and a pitch and a draft which is excellent, it leads work but the writers are doing a great job. I read it 3 weeks ago and it really like lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room, like this is a real movie worthy of fans’ respect. There’s a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going but it’s exciting and I’m really excited about it,” he teased.
“I’d love to one day, if I’d be lucky enough to somehow bring Miles Morales into my Spider-Man universe and into the MCU. I’d love to do it for a young kid,” he added.
A few weeks ago, it was announced that Shang Chi director, Destin Daniel Cretton has been roped in to helm Spider-Man 4.
