Salman Khan's much-anticipated film Tubelight repeated its opening day score at the box office. The film, which received mixed reviews, managed to collect Rs 21.17 crore on day 2. The collection was similar to that of the first day, Rs 21.15 crore.
The current total now amounts to Rs 42.32 crore, as reported by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Given that no other big-budget Bollywood film was released this weekend, Kabir Khan's directorial seems to have a clear window at the box office.

Set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian war, Tubelight has been directed by Kabir Khan. The film also features Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and the eight-year-old actor Matin Rey Tangu alongside Salman and his brother Sohail Khan. On his film being panned left, right and center by the movie critics, Salman was quoted as saying, "The critics were really good. I was expecting minus 3 and minus 4 but they gave 1, 1.5 apparently, so I am very pleased."
