Singer-actor Vijay Antony is set to impress his fans with his upcoming movie, Romeo. The film is written and directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan. It stars Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi in the lead roles. Yogi Babu, Ilavarasu, Thalaivasal Vijay and VTV Ganesh will play prominent roles in the film. The makers recently released the trailer of the movie. The viral trailer shows Vijay and Mrinalini as a married couple. But the twist in the story is that only the husband is invested in the marriage, while the wife is indifferent and longs for a divorce. As the movie’s release date is near, the lead actors have started the promotion of the movie. In such a situation, the core cast of the movie recently held a press meeting for the film. They answered the controversies related to the movie poster and talked about the use of money in elections.

While talking to the media, Vijay Antony mentioned that the primary aim for making this film is so that he can watch it with his family. He said that it is a film that married women must watch, while advising the husbands to bring their wives to theatres for the film. The film explores the love between a husband and wife after marriage.

Responding to the question about the viral poster of the movie that showcased actress Mirnalini Ravi drinking alcohol, Vijay Antony said that it has been shown in a small scene in the film. He further assured the audience that the scenes that support cultural degradation have not been introduced in his upcoming movie.

After being asked about his views on the political party started by actor Thalapathy Vijay, he said that he has no bias and supports all parties. Responding to the age-old practice of buying votes with money, Vijay Antony said he believes that it is wrong. “Although it is wrong to give money for voting, we can use money given for voting considering the poverty and situation”. He also asked people to vote for good people.
