Vikrant Massey Recalls Losing Cool at Fan for Recording Him Without Consent: 'Aap Zoo Mein Aaye Ho?'
Vikrant Massey shared that he often finds himself in arguments with people who disrespect his privacy by secretly recording him in public places.

Vikrant Massey, currently promoting his upcoming film “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba,” recently discussed his experiences with intrusive fan behaviour, particularly those who record him without permission. During an interview with Mashable India, Vikrant shared that he often finds himself in arguments with people who disrespect his privacy by secretly recording him in public places.

“Unfortunately… I shouldn’t be saying this but I get into a lot of arguments with people who start recording you secretly when you are eating or picking groceries with your wife and your staff, and they go live,” Vikrant explained. He emphasised that such actions put him in uncomfortable situations, as he may be in a relaxed state within his personal space.

Recalling a specific incident at an airport, Vikrant described how he had to confront a person who was recording him during a security check. “The other day, I was going through a security check at the airport. I had tucked in my T-shirt, and there was someone who had just crossed the security check and was standing there recording me. I said, ‘Aap zoo mein aaye ho kya? (Are you visiting a zoo?) Have some dignity.’ You ask, and I will click a photo with you happily, there is no problem in that. But the moment you don’t respect someone’s space…” Vikrant expressed that it is “not right” to record someone without their consent and urged fans to respect personal boundaries.

Vikrant Massey has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since 2007, with a career spanning both films and television. His recent film, “12th Fail,” released in 2023, garnered significant acclaim and became his biggest hit, grossing over Rs 60 crore in India. The film also saw a release in China. Following “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba,” Vikrant has several projects lined up, including “The Sabarmati Report” and “Sector 36.”
