Vishnuvardhan's 1986 Kannada Film Krishna Nee Begane Baro To Re-release On This Date
Krishna Nee Begane Baro is re-releasing in more than 100 theatres in Karnataka.

The Kannada film industry is experiencing a trend of successful re-releases currently. Two of Puneeth Rajkumar’s superhits, Power and Anjani Putra were re-released yesterday in the state of Karnataka. Now, as per the latest reports, some more hit films are set to have a re-release in the state, which includes Krishna Nee Begane Baro, a 1986 Vishnuvardhan classic.

According to reports, the film is being screened in more than 100 theatres across the state of Karnataka. The makers are reportedly releasing it with a re-touch, improving its colours and sound.

Talking exclusively to News18 Kannada Digital, Muniraju revealed that he is releasing the films at the request of Vishnuvardhan’s fans. He mentioned how the actor’s fans insisted “lovingly” for the film’s re-release. Krishna Nee Begane Baro is being re-released in cinemas on May 17, which is a Friday.

As per reports, another Kannada hit is being released on the same day. Actor Upendra’s film A is also scheduled to release with Krishna Nee Begane Baro.

Krishna Nee Begane Baro was made under the direction of HR Bhargava who also penned its screenplay while Kamleshwar wrote its story. The cast of the film included Vishnuvardhan, Bhavya, Mukhyamantri Chandru and Kima, among others. It was produced by Amrutha Singh, Anuradha Singh and Dushyanth Singh under the banner of Rohini Pictures. The music for the film was done by Bappi Lahirim, the cinematographer was DV Rajaram and Gautham Raju did the editing. It was released on September 10, 1986.

Krishna Nee Begane Baro is the official Kannada language remake of the Hindi film Souten, which was released in 1983. Souten starred names like Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim and Padmini Kolhapure as the leads. It was helmed and produced by Saawan Kumar Tak while Usha Khanna gave the music and David Dhawan was the editor.
