Watch: Priyanka Chopra Says Alvida Mumbai After Brother’s Engagement

Priyanka Chopra was recently in India for her brother Siddharth Chopra’s engagement ceremony with long-time fiance Neelam Upadhyaya. Her attendance at the wedding festivities was followed by checking into the screening of her Marathi production Paani on Monday night. After a packed schedule, the global icon bid adieu to Mumbai saying “alvida” in a farewell video shared on Instagram.

The clip captured the actress seated on a flight, giving her fans a glimpse of the view from her flight window as she wrote, “See U Soon Mumbai.” Dressed in a comfy beige sweatshirt, Priyanka looked stylish in the video.

Hours before boarding the flight, Priyanka Chopra was clicked with her mother Madhu Chopra and brother Siddharth Chopra at the screening event. In a blue salwar suit adorned with intricate floral embroidered patterns, she exuded regal charm, making heads turn at the event.

Speaking of her Marathi production Paani, the film marks the directorial debut of Addinath M Kothare who will also be seen essaying a pivotal role in the project. Announcing the film’s release date on Instagram, Priyanka Chopra posted a video along with a caption that read, “This is very very special. Our Marathi feature film ‘Paani’ is all set to release theatrically on 18th October. See you in the theatres! Rajshri Entertainment & Purple Pebble Pictures Presents PAANI In association with Kothare Vision Pvt Ltd.”

As quoted by ANI, Priyanka Chopra, in a note shared by Paani’s team, expressed, “I’m thrilled to share ‘Paani’ with the world, a true passion project that tackles a vital issue. This film is special, and challenging to make but so relevant for the time we live in. This is an inspiring story of one man’s journey to find solutions that will radically change the lives of all those around him.”

The primary reason behind Priyanka Chopra’s visit to India was her brother Siddharth’s wedding festivities. In a video shared by a fan page dedicated to the actress on Instagram, Siddharth and Neelam Upadhyaya can be seen exchanging rings, followed by touching Priyanka’s feet. The video also includes some precious fam-jam moments with Madhu Chopra, Bigg Boss fame Mannara Chopra and others.

Work-wise, Priyanka Chopra has recently completed filming for The Bluff. It is directed by Frank E Flowers. She will also be seen in the action-comedy Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller. The film will feature Priyanka alongside John Cena, Idris Elba, and Jack Quaid.
