Bollywood yesteryear actor Raaj Kumar was reportedly known for his brilliant acting and incisive remarks as well which didn’t go down well with everyone. As per the reports, many stars were enraged by his talks, including Sanjay Dutt. Reportedly, in 1988, the then-prominent film director Prakash Mehra was directing a film titled Mohabbat Ke Dushman.
Sanjay Dutt and Raaj Kumar were playing lead roles in this film. According to a report published in Jansatta, during the shoot, the Heer Raanjha actor noticed that Dutt had been given some important dialogues. Raaj Kumar told the director to include these dialogues in his character. Director Mehra immediately complied with this request as he was a veteran actor. For the director, it was not easy to say no to his request. However, things took an ugly turn when Sanjay Dutt came to know about it.
As per the reports, the Vaastav actor vowed to beat Raaj Kumar, whenever he saw him on the Mohabbat Ke Dushman’s sets. When Prakash Mehra came to know about it, he called Sanjay Dutt’s father and the actor Sunil Dutt.
When Sanjay Dutt arrived the next day with the alleged intent of assaulting Raaj Kumar, he saw Sunil Dutt already on the film’s sets. Seeing his father, the actor decided to not beat Raaj Kumar. The Padosan actor listened to the matter which became a bone of contention between Sanjay Dutt and Raaj Kumar. After listening, he left no stone unturned to sort out this issue and was finally able to reach a truce between the 2. Sanjay Dutt respected his father immensely and never rejected his orders.
Mohabbat Ke Dushman was released on May 20, 1988, and flopped at the box office. The audience cited the outdated storyline for this film’s failure. Besides Raaj Kumar and Sanjay Dutt, Hema Malini, Farha Naaz, Pran Sikand, Amrish Puri, Om Prakash and others also acted in this film.
