The recent elections in South India, especially Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, witnessed not only political relations but also the celebrities’ alliances, especially superstar Chiranjeevi’s Mega Family. These elections showcased the intricate complexities of belonging to a certain family and political affiliation. One of the most talked about actors was Allu Arjun, who was spotted with YSRCP Nandyal MLA leaving his fans utterly shocked. Now, there are speculations that this move might affect the performance of his upcoming film, Pushpa 2- The Rule. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya reacted subtly to the situation which grabbed the spotlight.
Allu Arjun has been busy shooting for the highly anticipated action film, helmed by Sukumar. His fans anticipate that the sequel of the blockbuster would result in another blockbuster hit at the box office. His public appearance with YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) MLA Silpa Ravichandra Reddy has grabbed eyeballs and set tongues wagging.
But, why this speculation? Reportedly, instead of supporting his uncle, Pawan Kalyan, he decided to endorse Silpa Ravichandra Reddy of YSRCP in Nandyal. Apart from the public appearance, his tweet on X further took the industry by storm setting the gossip mill running that all is not well in the Mega Family. It read, “Grateful to the people of Nandyal for the warm reception. Thank you, Silpa Ravi Reddy garu, for the hospitality. Wishing you the very best in the elections and beyond. You have my unwavering love and support.”

Meanwhile, as per the latest updates, the Pushpa star has landed in trouble after a case was registered against him and YSRCP MLA for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct during the election campaign.
The rift seemed prominent when Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan and wife Surekha campaigned in Pithapuram for Pawan Kalyan. Different family members showcased public support to different candidates which highlighted the divide.
Now, the rumour mill is strife that Allu Arjun’s public support for the YSRCA candidate may result in disastrous results for his upcoming film. As per reports, despite being a film headlined by an A-lister, the political affiliation may sway the fans. If the reports are anything to go by, the makers of the film are laying low and worried about the theatrical run and box office collections of the film.
Amid all of this, Naga Chaitanya, another prominent face of the Telugu industry and a part of the Mega family shared a cryptic tweet on X about family loyalty and betrayal, which is reportedly being interpreted as a veiled reference to Allu Arjun’s support to YSRCP. He wrote in Telugu, which when translated to English read, “He who stays with us and works for our adversaries is an alien. (But) The one who stands with is indeed a true friend!”
