Akshay Kumar Celebrates 16 Years Of Welcome, Gives A Sneek Peek Of Welcome 3 With Sanjay Dutt; Watch

Akshay Kumar has begun shooting shooting for the highly anticipated third installment of Welcome. Titled, Welcome To The Jungle, the upcoming movie promises to be a laughter riot just like the previous two films. As the ‘Welcome’ saga turned 16 year old today, Akshay Kumar penned a heartfelt note celebrating the film and also dropped in a seek peek of the third film with Sanjay Dutt.

Taking to social media, Akshay penned a heartfelt note that read, “What a lovely coincidence that we celebrate 16 years of #Welcome today while I am shooting for the franchise’s third part #Welcome To The Jungle. And it’s wonderful to welcome Sanju Baba in this one. What do you think?

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt, Welcome To The Jungle will also star Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor.

Earlier this year, when the makers dropped the teaser announcement of the film, it took the nation by storm. The actors were seen singing a peppy revised version of the title song of Welcome, but with a twist. Dressed in camo uniforms, the cast grooves with the song and Mika Singh, Daler Mehndi chimes in with ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’. Sharing the promo, Akshay Kumar wrote in the caption, “Khud ko aur aap sab ko ek birthday gift diya hai aaj. If you like it and say thanks, I’d say Welcome(3) #WelcomeToTheJungle In cinemas, Christmas – 20th December, 2024. #Welcome3.”

Of the 3 films under Firoz Nadiadwala’s banner, Welcome might be the first to take off as the script is ready a while back. The filmmaker is planning to bring a spin to the narrative of this comic caper by getting Sanjay Dutt and Arshad to play the notorious gangsters – Majnu and Uday. The duo have already shown their chemistry as Munna and Circuit and now it will be time to explore the dimension in a new franchise,” a source cited by the entertainment portal PinkVilla claimed earlier.

When Arshad Warsi confirmed that he is indeed a part of Welcome 3, he told Hindustan Times in an interview, “The scale of Welcome 3: the cost, the climax, is unreal. It is an insanely larger-than-life theatrical film which I will be a part of. It has me, Akshay Kumar, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Paresh Rawal and lots of other people.”

Welcome Back To The Jungle is slated to release during Christmas, on December 25, 2024.
