Animal To Become Ranbir Kapoor's BIGGEST Opener Ever? Earns Rs 9.75 Crore In Advance Bookings
Animal will hit theatres on December 1. This means that the film will clash at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur.

Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy promoting his upcoming movie Animal. While everyone is eagerly waiting for the film, it has now been reported that Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already earned Rs 9.75 crore in advance bookings.

As reported by the industry tracker Sacnilk, Animal has sold 3,34,173 tickets for 7,200 shows across the country as of now. This amounts to Rs 9.75 crore across all theatres and languages in India. Reportedly, the film’s Telugu version has collected Rs 91.48 lakh as of now by selling 58,465 tickets. On the other hand, the Tamil and Kannada versions of the film have sold 779 tickets and 1504 tickets for 41 shows 16 shows respectively.

Considering Ranbir Kapoor’s popularity in the southern market and after the mega show in Hyderabad on Monday, Sacnilk also predicted that Animal will pose a challenge to the opening record set by Ranbir’s Rajkumar Hirani-directed film Sanju. As of now, Sanju holds the title of his highest opener at Rs 34.75 crore nett.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna and marks her first film with Ranbir. The film also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in key roles. It was recently revealed that CBFC granted an ‘A’ certificate to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer and its runtime is 3 hours and 21 minutes. At a press conference in Bengaluru, Ranbir was asked about the lengthy runtime of Animal when he said, “We are not releasing a film this long because we are arrogant about it. We felt that the story required this amount of time to reach the audience in the best way possible.”

“All of us have seen the cut of this film which was 3 hours, 49 minutes, and that also held. Wo bhi entertaining tha. But Sandeep has worked very hard to bring the length down. Because you cannot stretch it that much also. But hope that the audience doesn’t get panicked by the length. Just come and experience cinema at its best,” the actor added.

Animal will hit theatres on December 1. This means that the film will clash at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur.
