Among the six trains, the Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Special will depart from Mumbai Central on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:55pm and will reach Ahmedabad at 8:45am the next day

Western and Central Railways have announced six special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to handle the extra rush of passengers who will be travelling to attend the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the Gujarat city on Sunday.

Here’s a look at the schedule of the special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad:

Train No. 09049 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Special will depart from Mumbai Central on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:55pm and will reach Ahmedabad at 8:45am the next day.
Train No. 09050 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 6:20am and will arrive at Mumbai Central at 2:10pm the same day.
Train No. 09035 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Superfast Special will depart from Mumbai Central on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 5:15am and will reach Ahmedabad at 10:40 am the same day.
Train No. 09036 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, November 20 at 2am and will arrive at Mumbai Central at 7:25am the same day.
Train No. 09001 Bandra Terminus – Ahmedabad Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:45pm and will reach Ahmedabad at 7:20am the next day.
Train No. 09002 Ahmedabad – Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, November 20 at 4am and will arrive at Bandra Terminus at 12:10pm the same day.
Train No. 01153 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Ahmedabad Special will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:30pm and will reach Ahmedabad at 6:40 am the next day.
Train No. 01154 Ahmedabad – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, November 20 at 1:45am and will arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 10:35 am the same day.
Train No. 01155 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Ahmedabad Special will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 12:20am and will reach Ahmedabad at 9am the same day.
Train No. 01156 Ahmedabad – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, November 20 at 5am and will arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 2:30pm the same day.
Train No. 09099 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Superfast Special will depart from Mumbai Central on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 5am and will reach Ahmedabad at 11:20am the same day.

More than 6,000 security personnel will be deployed in Ahmedabad city and the Narendra Modi stadium during the World Cup final on November 19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Deputy PM Richard Marles will be among the key personalities who are expected to attend the ICC Cricket World Cup grand finale in the Motera area of the city.

Other dignitaries who are expected to attend the final match at the stadium include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti, Minister for Home Affairs and Law of Singapore K Shanmugam, Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma.

The Indian Air Force’s renowned Surya Kiran aerobatics team is scheduled to put up an air show ahead of the game on Sunday. The match at the 1.32-lakh capacity stadium is scheduled to start at 2 pm. The Indian side has remained unbeaten in the tournament, winning all 10 matches it has played so far.
