Congratulations are in order for Virat Kohli, who scored his 49th ODI century on Sunday, a record that he now shares with ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli reached the milestone as India put on a dazzling batting show in their World Cup match against South Africa, leaving the crowd at Kolkata’s historic Eden Gardens mesmerised. What made the occasion special was that Virat Kohli scored the record century on his 35th birthday on November 6. Kohli’s century was celebrated by billions, including many well-known faces from Bollywood who showed their love for India’s premier batter on social media. Actor Kartik Aaryan, a die-hard fan of Virat Kohli, even found the special occasion worthy of cheating on his diet.
After witnessing the century, he made a detour to a bakery to devour some delicious dessert. He was in Pune at the time, as per the location mentioned in his happy Instagram post. The new social media update features Kartik Aaryan holding a platter of what seems to be a vanilla and strawberry cake. With a million-dollar smile on his face, the Dhamaka star captioned the picture, “Virat ki century ho to cheating to banti hai (Virat’s century always calls for cheat meals).” If the photo is anything to go by, it appears Kartik Aaryan must have had a gala time binging on the cake that has given many fans a sweet tooth.

Another reaction to Virat Kohli’s record-equalling achievement was by legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar himself. The former sportsman, who’s often referred to as the God of cricket, congratulated Virat Kohli on achieving the special milestone. “Well played Virat. It took me 365 days to go from 49 to 50 earlier this year. I hope you go from 49 to 50 and break my record in the next few days. Congratulations,” he wrote on X. Check out the heartfelt note here:

Team India was unstoppable at the IND vs SA game as they continued to maintain their 100% win record at the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup. Skipper Rohit Sharma’s squad, who have already booked a spot in the semi-finals, managed to win the match with a 243-run lead and stop South Africa merely at 83 after 27.1 overs during the second inning.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan who was last seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha opposite Kiara Advani, next has Chandu Champion in his kitty.
