The Roshans will tell the narrative of acclaimed music director Roshan (Hrithik's grandfather), Rakesh Roshan, Rajesh Roshan, and Hrithik's acting career.

Rakesh Roshan is a veteran of the Indian cinema industry, and the family has a successful legacy to boast of. But for all those who have been unaware of this family and their contributions to the film industry, the actor-filmmaker is all set to release a documentary, The Roshans, which intends to show it all. What’s more, Shah Rukh Khan will also be part of this special venture. Recently, Rakesh Roshan thanked the superstar for his contributions to The Roshans.

Rakesh Roshan, who has made significant contributions to the Indian cinema industry as an actor, producer, director, and screenwriter, posted a photo on Instagram of himself with Shah Rukh Khan, director Shashi Ranjan, and others. He also posted a still of himself with Shah Rukh as they both smiled at the camera. Sharing the photographs, the filmmaker hailed the actor for his contribution to The Roshans saying, “Thank you Shahrukh for your love,warmth & contribution to “The Roshans”…” Previously, Rakesh Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan have collaborated in films such as Karan Arjun, Koyla, and King Uncle.

Shashi Ranjan, who helms the documentary, also took to his social media account and posted a picture with Shah Rukh Khan. In the caption, he wrote, “Shot with Shah Rukh. Absolutely pleasure conversing with him.”

The Roshans will tell the narrative of acclaimed music director Roshan (Hrithik’s grandfather), Rakesh Roshan (filmography), Rajesh Roshan (music), and Hrithik’s acting career. According to the Mid-Day, the documentary will follow the family’s path in the industry beginning in 1948, when Roshan moved to Bombay for employment and eventually became the assistant of music composer Khawaja Khurshid Anwar in the 1949 film Singaar.

A source told the portal, “Few know that Roshanji’s wife, Ira, was a singer and composer. Such little-known anecdotes about the family will be unveiled in the documentary as it traces the journey of each Roshan. And who better to talk about it than Rakesh, Rajesh and Hrithik? They have all contributed in different forms to the film industry.”

Speaking about the impending documentary, Rakesh Roshan told the portal, “All I can say is that we are doing a documentary on the Roshans from the year 1948, which begins with my father’s journey, goes through mine and my brother Rajesh’s, and carries on with Hrithik.”

The Roshans will be developed in the style of The Romantics, with interviews from friends, coworkers, and family.
