Ranveer Singh And Kiara Advani To Begin Training For Farhan Akhtar's Don 3

Farhan Akhtar is poised to reclaim the director’s chair with the highly anticipated film Don 3: The Final Chapter. This installment sees Ranveer Singh stepping into the iconic role of Don, a character previously portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan in the 2006 and 2011 releases. Kiara Advani will play the role of the female lead. Now, before the filming of Don 3 starts in August, it has been revealed that the dynamic duo will start intensive action training.

According to a report by Mid-Day, sources disclosed that Farhan wanted the stars to start their preparations early. He said, “Ranveer and Kiara will start their physical prep, beginning with agility training, in late March. Experts in martial arts from Thailand have been roped in.” There are also reports suggesting that the filmmaker is eager to raise the bar for stunts in the movie.

The sources further mentioned, “In recent years, Hindi cinema has seen every type of stylized action, ranging from War (2019) to Pathaan (2023) and Fighter (2024). So, Farhan wants to make the action syntax fresh. He has had several meetings with action choreographers from India and other countries to discuss the possibilities. He wants the palette to be different from whatever the tent pole movies have offered in recent films.”

Don 3 stands as one of the most eagerly awaited films as it marks the return of Farhan Akhtar as a director. The movie features Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the lead roles and is presently in the pre-production stage. Reports suggest that the film is set to have a substantial budget of Rs 275 crore, with speculation mounting that it will be filmed across various expansive global locations.

Last year, Farhan Akhtar unveiled Ranveer Singh as the new Don in the teaser for Don 3: The Final Chapter. The teaser included Ranveer’s voiceover, resonating with the awakening of a lion: “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab, puchte hai yeh sab. Unse keh do phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir samne jald aane ko…”

Apart from Don 3, Farhan Akhtar has an impressive lineup of projects in the pipeline. He is set to produce the upcoming drama film Jee Le Zaraa, which features a stellar cast including Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Furthermore, Akhtar will produce the comedy-drama Madgaon Express, starring Nora Fatehi, Divyendu Sharma, Avinash Tiwary, and more.
