Rashmika Mandanna has once again talked about deepfake videos. The actress was promoting her upcoming movie Animal in Hyderabad on Monday (November 27) when she called deepfakes ‘scary’ and added that she is thankful to all those who spoke in her support after the clip went viral. Rashmika’s statement comes at a time when Alia Bhatt’s deepfake video has also gone viral on social media.

“Deepfakes have been around for a while and we’ve normalised them but it isn’t okay,” Rashmika said as quoted by Hindustan Times. “Deepfakes have been around for a while and we’ve normalised them but it isn’t okay,” she said, adding, “I always wondered who would even care if I chose to speak up and point out that it isn’t okay. So, I’m glad people from across the film industries have supported me. I understand now how important it is to speak up. I want to urge women to take the help they need when it happens,” the actress added. 

Alia Bhatt’s Deepfake Video Goes Viral

Rashmika Mandanna’s words come at a time when a video with the morphed face of Alia Bhatt has now gone viral on social media. In the video, Alia Bhatt’s face is edited over a different lady and the latter can be seen sitting on the bed. The video features a girl wearing a blue floral, strapy co-ord set featuring Alia’s face, while she makes gestures towards the camera. Earlier, a deepfake video of Bollywood actress Kajol had also surfaced on the internet. Prior to this, Katrina Kaif’s action sequence from Tiger-3 was also morphed.

When Rashmika Mandanna’s Deepfake Video Shocked All

A morphed video of Rashmika Mandanna recently went viral on social media. In the clip, the woman with Rashmika’s face was seen getting into a lift, wearing a fitted outfit. However, it was soon clarified that the viral clip was deepfake. It grabbed everyone’s attention after superstar Amitabh Bachchan also took to the microblogging site X and demanded legal action. Last week, Rashmika Mandanna also reacted to her deepfake video and called it ‘scary’.
