Taapsee Pannu Wants To Work With Director Neeraj Pandey Again: 'Mujhe Kuch Kaam Dedo'
Taapsee Pannu expressed her persistence in requesting work from director Neeraj Pandey, emphasising their previous collaborations in movies such as Baby and Naam Shabana.

Taapsee Pannu, renowned for her versatile performances in Bollywood hits like Pink, Badla, Thappad, and Mulk has firmly established her presence in the film industry over the past decade. Her commendable acting skills and recent acclaim for portraying Manu in the comedy-drama film Dunki alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan have further solidified her position. Despite collaborating with various filmmakers, Taapsee expresses a specific desire to work with Neeraj Pandey once again.

In conversation with Pinkvilla, Taapsee Pannu shared that she has been persistently requesting Neeraj Pandey to give her work. Taapsee Pannu and Neeraj Pandey have worked in movies like Baby and Naam Shabana. The actress shared, “I keep meeting him every now and then, asking him ‘Sir, hum abhi kuch aur karte haina.’ Log kya mai he wait kar rahi hu. Mai unko yehe bol rahi hu ke ‘Sir, please mujhe kuch kaam dedo. (I keep meeting him every now and then, asking him ‘Sir, we should do something else now. Not just audience, even I am waiting to work with him. I have been telling him, ‘Sir, please give me some work).” Taapsee mentioned that while she has been consistent, the director laughs it off and doesn’t believe that she is serious about it.

Sharing why she wants to collaborate with Neeraj Pandey again, Taapsee said, “Because he is one of those very few people who believed in me at the very beginning stage of my career.” She mentioned that Neeraj Pandey was the person who gave her a full-fledged film after her short role in Baby. She added, “That was too good to be true kind of moment that happened with someone like Neeraj Pandey who believed that this girl who had a 7-minute role deserves to have a film for herself.”

Interestingly, Taapsee Pannu revealed that she doesn’t shy away from actively seeking work, especially from directors she admires. She mentioned that she is particularly persistent with Neeraj Pandey and takes steps to ensure that he doesn’t forget her.

Meanwhile, Taapsee will next be seen in the comedy-drama film, Woh Ladki Hai Kahan. The movie is written and directed by Arshad Syed and will also star Prateik Babbar and Pratik Gandhi in the lead roles. Apart from that, the much-awaited sequel of Haseen Dillruba is in the works. In Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, she shares the screen with Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill.
