Indian captain Rohit Shamra, who is a local Mumbaikar, also invited fans to be part of the historic moment via a post on X that read, “we want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00pm onwards. It’s coming home.”
The victory celebration on Thursday will refresh the memories of 2007, when, after winning the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup, the MS Dhoni-led side also took part in a victory parade in Mumbai.
Ceremony at Wankhede Stadium

BCCI secretary Jay Shah will hand over the prize money of Rs 125 crore to the Rohit Sharma-led side for ending India’s 17-year wait for a second T20 World Cup title.
