The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) made subject-wise sample question papers and marking schemes available to help students in classes 10 and 12 with their preparation for the 2024 board examinations on September 8, . These additional practice papers cover the entire syllabus and incorporate 50 percent competency-based questions. Students can access the additional practice questions on the CBSE Academic website at cbseacademic.nic.in.
The sample questions, which are provided free of cost on the CBSE website, are designed to assist students in addressing application-based questions that demand higher-order thinking skills and improving their grasp of fundamental concepts in the subjects.
CBSE said through a public alert, “It has come to the notice of the board that schools and students are being asked to access the CBSE practice papers from certain private publisher’s sites. The public is advised not to be misled by any claims and promotions.”
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) wants to make it clear that they have not worked with Educart to create additional practice papers for Class 10 and Class 12. This clarification comes from Rama Sharma, a spokesperson for the board.
Back in March, CBSE had already released subject-specific sample question papers for the upcoming academic year 2023-24, for students in classes 10 and 12. These sample papers include not only questions but also the board exam’s marking scheme. These materials give students a firsthand look at the exam format, which includes details such as the number of sections, types of questions (objective, short answer, long answer), and the overall structure of the question paper.
Sample papers are a helpful tool for students to grasp how marks are distributed among different sections or topics in their exams. This allows them to plan their study time and effort effectively.
Regarding the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2024, they are scheduled to commence on February 15th of the upcoming year.
