Rajasthan will next be going one-on-one against Karnataka in the semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023. Rajasthan were absolutely spotless in their semi-final game against Kerala.
While batting first, Mahipal Lomor guided Rajasthan to a total of 267 runs while losing eight wickets. He also received some support from Kunal Singh Rathore who added 66 runs from his knock.
In the second half, Aniket Choudhary produced a bowling masterclass as he took four wickets in seven overs while giving away just 26 runs. His impressive haul helped Rajasthan curb Kerala at a score of just 67 runs.
With a dominant 200-run win already in the bag, it will be interesting to see if they can book their place in the final of the domestic tournament.
Rajasthan’s clash against Karnataka will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium on December 14.
Karnataka also had a good showing in their quarter-final game as they beat Vidarbha by six wickets for their semi-final spot. In that match, Vyshak Vijay Kumar’s four-wicket haul halted their opponents at 173 runs. In the next half, Ravikumar Samarth and Mayank Agarwal scored half-centuries each to bag an easy win. They will now be looking to repeat this performance against Rajasthan in their upcoming game.
