Starting this Thursday, the India Expo Centre will burst with activity during the five-day UP International Trade Show. Meanwhile, the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) will become the heart of thrilling MotoGP action from September 22 to 24. Both events promise an exhilarating time for both locals and visitors.
This will cover the first 25 kilometers of the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and an additional 10 kilometers of the Yamuna Expressway, all the way from Zero Point to the BIC. Be prepared for some changes as buses, autos, e-rickshaws, and heavy vehicles will not be allowed on this route. Even non-commercial vehicles might face restrictions based on traffic conditions and VIP movements.
In the details of the advisory, heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles coming from Delhi will encounter entry and movement restrictions starting at 6 am on Thursday. Additionally, heavy vehicles won’t be allowed on the DND Flyway, Chilla Road, Kalindi Kunj, New Ashok Nagar, and Jhundpura borders. Pari Chowk might also see some changes.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Anil Kumar Yadav, shared that President Droupadi Murmu herself will travel by road to inaugurate the trade fair at the India Expo Mart on Thursday afternoon. Yadav stated, “We will implement traffic restrictions from 2 pm on Thursday.” The roads will be abiding by presidential protocol.
To navigate through this maze of restrictions, commuters are encouraged to make use of Noida’s internal roads for travel to Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Agra, and Lucknow. These alternative routes promise a smoother journey amidst the traffic challenges.
For those heading to the Buddh International Circuit from Noida and Delhi, the recommended route involves taking the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, followed by the Yamuna Expressway. As you approach loops 2A and 2C, you’ll have access to the event zones in all directions. Parking won’t be an issue, as organizers have arranged parking facilities across these zones, with space for approximately 22,000 vehicles.
Travelers coming from Agra and Mathura can take the Chapargadh loop exit and head straight to the race track venue for parking. Keep in mind that, as the events conclude, traffic authorities might implement some restrictions to prevent traffic jams on the Expressway during the evening rush.
NMRC is going all out to ensure visitors have a hassle-free experience. This includes increasing the frequency of trains during these days, with trains running every 7.5 minutes from 8 am to 10 pm. Wadhwan proudly shared, “The Aqua Line will directly connect visitors to the international trade show venue. Aqua Line commuters can travel to Knowledge Park-2 station, which is just about 500 meters away from the venue.”
And for those wondering about parking options, an NMRC spokesperson chimed in, “Parking facilities are also available for the general public at eight Aqua Line metro stations, including Sector 51, Sector 76, NSEZ, Sector 142, Sector-137, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, and Delta 1.”
