Opinion | Study Shows India’s Hindu Population Shrank By 7.8%, Busts 3 Liberal Lies
A new study by the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council has found that the Hindu population in India’s demography shrank by 7.8 per cent between 1950 and 2015, while Muslims grew by nearly 4.5 per cent in the same period

When the newly elected councillor of Leeds, Mothin Ali, exulted with an “Allah Hu Akbar, this one is for Gaza” instead of ‘God save the King’, many Britons went beyond just politely clearing their throats.

Some have begun speaking up.

The old and much-reviled adage that ‘demography is destiny’ is being dusted out of private drawers. Europe, not just the United Kingdom, may not be the same much longer.

When Dutch politician Eva Vlaardingerbroek expressed the same emotion with some extremely jarring figures, YouTube promptly censored it. The full speech is still thankfully available on X, and it tears to shreds the perversity of generations of ‘liberal’ politicians and ‘globalist’ bureaucrats of the European Union sitting in Brussels — a city which today comprises 70 per cent migrants from Africa and the Middle East — of urging Europeans to cheer becoming a minority in their own countries.

India has known this ‘Great Replacement’ for centuries. We have experienced it by being at the wrong end of the sword, not to Europe’s extent by suicidal political correctness. Although, self-proclaimed ‘secular’ parties like the Congress have done their darnest best to tell Hindus that it is their duty to submit to the will of the minority, to whitewash genocides of the past and present, and to cheer appeasement of a lot who are determined to usurp them in their own land in the future.

A new study by the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (EAC-PM) has come as a timely wake-up call. The study has found that the Hindu population in India’s demography shrank by 7.8 per cent between 1950 and 2015, while Muslims grew by nearly 4.5 per cent in the same period.

Unsurprisingly, minority Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christians have been almost wiped off Muslim-majority Pakistan and Bangladesh.

This study backs with irrefutable numbers an instinctive anxiety that millions of Indians have been experiencing. It also exposes three widely uttered lies of so-called ‘liberals’ to distract from the subject.

First, minorities are oppressed in India.

Which fortunate ‘oppressed’ group has grown at the cost of its dwindling ‘persecutors’?

Which oppressed group can marry four times, grab any land at ease citing the Waqf Act, behead its ‘fascist’ persecutors in public, and set entire cities on fire because its prophet has been insulted?

Second, Hindus are majoritarian and intolerant. The questions above need only be reframed to get to the truth. The population figures speak for themselves.

Those born in Hindu families like lawyer Prashant Bhushan fight for illegal Rohingya immigrants to be settled here; ones like Harsh Mander want to brand Hindus as the sole perpetrators of riots in the eyes of the law even when Muslims go on a killing spree; or Hindu touts and leaders who facilitate fake papers for infiltrators, thus ushering a demographic disaster.

And the third and most insidious lie is that Hindus have nothing to fear from Islamisation. After all, it is 80:20, right?

No, wrong.

It is skewing close to 70:30 already. Also, India was dismembered just 77 years ago because wherever Muslims got the demographic upper hand, they refused to coexist with others and severed that limb from India. Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh were created from what was Bharat. We nearly lost Kashmir till Narendra Modi removed the biggest secessionist tools, Article 370 and Article 35A, in one go.

It does not take long to change a nation’s destiny by overwhelming its demography. Christian Turkey, Egypt, Syria and other such nations fell in a matter of decades. It took just three decades for Lebanon to go from a prosperous Christian nation to a violence-torn Islamic one.

“I was born and raised in Lebanon, which used to be the only Christian country in the Middle East. We were open-minded, we were fair, we were tolerant, we were multicultural. We had open borders, we welcomed everyone into our country. Muslims used to send their children to our universities, because we had built the best universities in the Arabic world. We had built the best economy of the Middle East, even though we did not have oil. In 1965, National Geographic magazine had on its front cover, ‘Lebanon, Eden of the Middle East’,” says Lebanese-American writer and activist Brigitte Gabriel. “Unfortunately, all that began to change. We got our independence in the early ’40s. But by the ’60s and ’70s, Christians had become the minority and Muslims became the majority in Lebanon. As the Islamic population grew, the nation became less and less tolerant. The problem was contained till we began to accept a wave of Palestine refugees. They put their heads together with the Muslims of Lebanon and declared jihad on the Christians.”

Gabriel, now an ardent Donald Trump supporter, recalls radical Islamic Palestinians blowing up her home in 1975.

The world buzzes with billions of such real, bleak stories. Statistics of the new study press the coldness of the amputation knife on Bharat’s flesh again. It is time to wake up and disarm the ones holding the sharp steel which can carve a dark destiny.
