New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has finally come out and admitted that his decision to resign as the Chief Minister of Delhi was a mistake. In an interview to a business daily, he said that his exit as Delhi Chief Minister may have been ill-timed.
In an interview to Economic Times, he admitted that while he had no regret on resignation and still stood by his decision to quit after his government was not able to pass the Janlokpal Bill in the Delhi Assembly, he should have taken more time to explain the rationale behind it to the people of the state.
He said that he should not have quit government the same day BJP and Congress blocked the passage of the Janlokpal Bill.
The AAP leader Kejriwal resigned from the Delhi government after 49 days in power.
He added that the suddenness of the decision and communication gap with masses allowed BJP and Congress to spread falsehood about AAP and label the party as escapists.
He stated that before resigning he should have clarified through a public meeting.
