AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the people to record any wrongdoing by AAP members and submit the proof to the party.
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday expelled two state leaders on charges of corruption. Awadh Convenor Aruna Singh and Hardoi Treasurer Ashok Kumar were expelled over charges that they were caught taking money.
"We will not compromise on corruption. We got a complaint at the district level that some of our members were demanding money for tickets. After investigating, we sacked the Hardoi treasurer and Awadh convener," AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said.
Kejriwal appealed to the people to record any wrongdoing by AAP members and submit the proof to the party. "We will immediately take action against the person and expel him from the party," Kejriwal said.
